I need 33\"x10.5 muds

Anyone local have a good used set? Or does anyone know a good source to purchase this odd size for a reasonable price? BFG or Super Swamper.

Re: I need 33\"x10.5 muds

You picked the wrong two brands for "good source(s)". BFG has a scam going on that their dealers can not sell them below a fixed price. Notice how all the advertisments have exactly the same price for BFGs. The retailers sell them for exactly the same price ...but are allowed to include mounting and balancing with that price. With SS ..I think that the distribution is just too limited to get "great deals". Now if you want to go to a General ...you save a bunch of $$$$. I'm unsure if they have a 10.5 ..but they have a 9.5 in a 33" for around $95 cash and carry ..much less then the $145 for the BFG in the same size.

Re: I need 33\"x10.5 muds

GeeAea,

I'm also looking for a mud-type 33x9.50. You got me excited when you said General had a 33x9.5... However, when I went to their website, there is no such animal listed.

What's your source of info? Got any sources for the tires?

Thanks.

Re: I need 33\"x10.5 muds

I have heard that about bfg, but i did not know Super Swamper would be similar. I found a place in Long Beach that sells mudders cheap ( Performance Plus ). I ran into a friend of mine, by happen chance, and he got a set of 35's for 5 bills. I forgot the brand but they had a good tread pattern. So i guess i found my source unless someone is upgrading! Re: I need 33\"x10.5 muds

Whatever you do - don't get the 33x10.50 Super Swamper radial TSL's. Go to the website and you will see how narrow they are - much narrower than the 32's and not much taller overall...lame! The 33x10.50 new BFG mud look pretty good - not too bad on price.

I will try to get my new lift on so you can have my 32 Super swampers.

Re: I need 33\"x10.5 muds

Local wholesaler is where I found them ..actually I only saw the price sheet since they would be somewhat of a "not stocked" item. Now I haven't checked on them in a few months (you don't buy new 33" tires all that often). The guy also has to hunt through the listings to find them. I'll stop in there tomorrow and get the actual name/etc. I'm getting some 235/75s for my SE so I'll nail the info down.

Hockey (okay if said with a fairly heavy foreign accent)

They ARE made by General/Laramie and they go by the name of "Trail Cutter". They are about $100 each cash and carry.

Here's a BONA FIDE site ...YES, these things exist!!!

Re: I need 33\"x10.5 muds

Thanks Gary.

I looked up the website, but I do not think this tire's tread design is as mud 'oriented' as I am seeking. Look like they'd be great for snow though.

So far, the only market offerings I've found combining 'tall', 'narrow' and 'mud terrain tread' seems to be BFG and SS. I suppose it is a fairly small market for the type tires I am seeking.

Thanks again for the info and website.
