What is this ad and what site are you visiting when you get it? I visit here 2-3 times a day during the week and have yet to see it. Guess I'm just lucky?!?!?!

Re: OT: It\'s official... the Nissan truck popadd......

Every time I go to a different page I get a popup telling me to download Macromedia Flashplayer. Heck, I don't want to flash anybody - that could get scary, for all involved!

I will try to determine the source and find a way to block it without using a popup blocker. I'll post back...

That is the most intrusive pop up I have ever seen.

As said before; I use a combination of Meaya Popup Ad Filter and Slimbrowser (IE clone with built-in popup killer) and I've forgotten what a popup looks like

Don't see any and have never seen the Nissan one...

What pop-up ad? I'm using Norton Internet Security with Ad Blocking. Seems to be working fine...*knock on wood

Re: OT: It\'s official... the Nissan truck popadd......

Well, here's an easy fix. I kept getting the popup saying that I needed to have Macromedia Flash player to view this site, and I kept refusing to allow it to install.

Apparently one time I must have accidently clicked the YES button. Just a few minutes ago it stopped coming up, but THE NISSAN ad came up. I searched my C drive and found a brand new directory called Macromed, subdirectory Flash containing Flash.ocx.

I bailed out of IExplorer, renamed the file to NoFlash.ocx, and reloaded into the BBS. No Nissan ad, no pesky "Load Macromedia" popup.

I hate stuff that loads and runs without telling me.
