Back to round.......

I got me one of those yuppie jeeps yesterday.....

Spent about 8 hours driving a jeep yesterday with unbalanced swampers both ways. I think it will be a while before my back recovers.

Well, it's not a CJ . . . but at least it's round.

Looks terrific, but it needs some scratches and dents.

Re: Back to round.......

It's a 1997 with the whopping 4 banger (I am looking for a 4.7, 5.2, 5.9 out of a Grand to swap into it if someone sees one, I want an auto too). The PO put some kind of muffler system on it that makes it sound like a ricer... It's got a K&N filter on it too and that kind of sounds like a wastegate on a turbo when it sucks in it whistles. I feel like it should have type 4 stickers somewhere....

Lift wise it has a budget boost from teraflex and my old Jeep mags and 32" TSL's which aren't in the pictures...

Hey you asked....

But I do agree it is a pretty decent looking ride. Not got any green on it though....

Re: Back to round.......

Dang Steve! Let's see:

1- CJ3.5
1- YJ
1- TJ
1- XJ (wife still driving it?)
1- M715

Looks like you've got the whole Jeep "family" covered! (....except for a Commando, a FC, a FS Waggy, and those old cramped military jobs! )

BTW, did you check to see what year Waggy hood would work on the 715?

Re: Back to round.......

Steve, nice addition. BTW did you have a 91 YJ for sale on the Tennessee 4X4 board a while back? If so, I may be interested if you still have it. Let me know.

Re: Back to round.......

Dave the CJ 3.5 is being parted out. The wife drives a ZJ and we still have the old xj. I traded the YJ for the TJ so I don'y have a YJ anymore. Confusing huh?

Re: Back to round.......

Broke her really good last time I wheeled it.... Spun a tube in the rear, grenaded the carrier in the front, broke a front right leaf spring and over extended a rear coil to where it sits about 2-3" lower on the right side. It was full hydro steering and I couldn't drive it on the road so I only used it about 6-7 times a year and the rest of the time it just sits. I wanted something I could jump in and drive anywhere as well as wheel "most things". I don't compete or anything just do this for fun and that was more extreme a vehicle than I needed. I saw much less built vehicles negotiate the same trails and they were still street worthy. I still have it and I am not selling the body or frame just yet as I might put rockwells under it down the road and redesign the suspension a little heavier. I am selling the drivetrain and most of it is gone already. I always meant to finish painting it but something seemed to always need fixing that was more important than paint.

Its funny that you posted that picture of it on lower 2 cause that is where I broke it.
