Well, Today I sold the Jeep... Yes It is sad to see her go after all the work I put into her. As stated I have gone to the Darkside...We are now a full Toyota Land Cruiser Family. My wife has a 1993 FJ80, my new daily driver is an 89 FJ62 and the new trail rig is a 73 FJ40.
I just wanted to thank everyone for one of the best Jeep forums out there. I've learned a lot and tried to help as much as I could.
Good luck, happy wheeling. I, personally like Toys. I just got rid of my last toy a month ago, my pickup. I have had several, and when I bought the jeep was acually looking for a later FJ40 or CJ. The CJ was just the right price at the right time. I have done some amazing wheeling in Toys and relish every moment.
Sorry to see you go, but at least you did pick as good of replacement as you could get.
Make sure to stop back in. The doors always open.
Actually, I was looking for a decent FJ40 when I got the CJ5. I think you will be happy with it.
Heck, I got a jeepwave out of a guy in the FJ40 the other day!
Make sure you stop by occasionally and let us know how you are doing. Even if you are driving a Toyota, the FJ40s sure have a lot of the same wheeling tendencies. 'Sides we ARE the most active BBS on ORC!
Thanks for the support! lol...definitely will stop back back and harass. The FJ80 and FJ62 will stay stock. The FJ40 already has SOA, Chevy 350, SM420, NP205, Cage, Warn Winch, and all the original parts with it. Should turn into a pretty good trail rig.
I wish a lot of the other boards out there were as active as this one.
