is this a power lock???

cleaned up a dana 70 for my 85 today is this a powerlock?

it is a dana 70 and was a duelly and was stock 4:56 and the carrier has never been changed, Ive never seen a dana 70 powerlock,,,,,,,wondering is it is one

What's the bill of materials number. Should be on the tag or on the axle tube to the right of the cover.

i sandblasted the whole thing ZRC'ed it and painted it, no numbers on the tube anymore and the tag was rusted off

I have only ever seen PowerLocks for D30s and D44s, but that one does not look like the ones I have seen, as far as I can tell from that pic.

ive seen powerlocks in dana 60's and 61's and this ........is a split case with clutches.....does anyone here know? [img]images/graemlins/crybaby.gif[/img]

Clutches? No, the old PowerLocks were gear driven. If it has clutches it is not a powerlock
