replace upper control arm question

IM curious. Ive seen a few lifts that replace the front upper and lower control arms. What is the benefit of replacing the upper arms?

Re: replace upper control arm question

When you lift the jeep with out lengthening your control arms, upper and lower, you actualy decrease your wheelbase. if you replace just the lowers and not the uppers then you rotate your pinion down. and if you rplace the Uppers and not the lowers, then you rotate the pinion up... Is this what you wnated to know?

Re: replace upper control arm question

I think so. So it would make a bit of sense that they wouldnt replace the uppers since when lifting you need the pinion angle to be steeper?
