Re: Thornbirds????

in the mud... the worst tire ive ever seen
on the rocks..only a stock street tire could be worse
... I had a buddy get stuck in my yard with thrornbirds..wet grass and a 2 foot hole stopped the 33" thornbirds cold.
they are the WORST tires ever made.. they wear quickly, offer NO traction and stil have all the bad characteristics of a heavy mud tire (including flat spots and price)
just look around.. have you ever seen anyone ctually running thornbirds that has been wheeling for more that a year?

Re: Thornbirds????

have you ever taken a close look at the side wall?

They have molded simulated snow chain on the side wall.

Re: Thornbirds????

Buying Thornbirds is like hanging a big sign on your jeep that says "I'm a Poser!".

Re: Thornbirds????

Unless this is your idea of fun, go with the TSL's or SSR's (what's about to drag the turdbirds out)

Sorry Wade, I can't resist a chance to post that pic of you!

Re: Thornbirds????

Only good for making lots of road hum!! Or you could stack up two and put one side of a large wire spool on it and make a crappy table.

Re: Thornbirds????

I have a set on my jeep right now. They came on a set of 589`s I bought second hand. They on the highway which is where I spend 90% of my driving. I guess they would be okay in sand. I am trying to get some different tires as we speak. Need to find a young kid to sell these Thornturds to
