Re: Suggestions For A New Jeep Moderator

I'm very sorry to hear that LEVE is stepping down. I think he was an excellent moderator. I will sure miss him and hope that he will stay on as a member. If not, I wish him all the best in his new endeavors.

As for nominating someone else, I have not been around long enough on this board to get to know the regulars well enough and will defer the nominations to the old-timers.

Re: Suggestions For A New Jeep Moderator

Im new to the board, but would multiple (i don't know 3-4) moderators work to lessen the load a bit? It sounds as though LEVE had his hands full to say the least. I guess you could run into problems with mod 1 not agreeing with mod 2 and such if you went that route though.

Just thinking out loud....

Re: Suggestions For A New Jeep Moderator

how about a brief description of the responsibilities of a moderator, how much time one might need to put into the position. maybe LEVE would like to fill in this information. I'd imagine it would take a good bit of time to moderate the majority of the Jeep boards.... One board might be a different story for some.....

just some thoughts on the matter.

Re: Suggestions For A New Jeep Moderator

Wow, was it just too much for him? It seems like a big job, but Larry did it well. I do hope he sticks around as a member and isn't leaving for good. I guess I can't even think of anyone in particular to do this job.

Maybe volunteers? No, I'm not volunteering, wife/kids/work/Jeep/shooting/sleep take up 23 hours of my day. One hour a day is not enough to do this job!

Re: Suggestions For A New Jeep Moderator

I am completely in favor of Chad's voting idea. I'd be real curious to see who's been nominated to do this job so far... I expect we'll have a poll up here soon enough...

Re: Suggestions For A New Jeep Moderator

Chad how about a spot for 2 or 3 mods on the poll. This is the biggest board on ORC and has many posts per day. I think it would be easier on them if we had several. I know to do as good as Larry , it took several hours a day.

Re: Suggestions For A New Jeep Moderator

Well, If we can't get LEVE to stay on as moderator, maybe mulitple moderators is the next best idea. Especially if LEVE is one of them. Do you think he would continue if we doubled his pay. Oh wait... he did it for nothing.
THANK YOU LARRY!!!

Re: Suggestions For A New Jeep Moderator

I agree with Dirt, I think we should have atleast 2, if not 3 moderators for the Jeep board. Asking one person to do it is just too much. I'm surprised LEVE did it as long as he did. But he did it GREAT!
