CV Drivshaft Vibe

I just completed putting in a AA SYE and a new CV Driveshaft from Rocky Mountain Driveline (Great Price and even Better Service, Thanks Scott! ) in my YJ. I have a vibration that I am trying to figure out. It previously had a stock np231 with a transfer lowering kit and a stock driveshaft with 3deg shims (has a 4" lift) with absolutely no vibes. I took out the transfer case lowering kit when I installed the SYE but left the 3deg shims on the springs. Could the shims be causing the vibe due to misalignment? Driveshaft looks to have been balanced (two washers welded on to the side). Tranny mount is good also. What else should I look for?

Re: CV Drivshaft Vibe

The rear pinion needs to be pointed 1-2 degress under the output of the transfer case. The U-joint at the rear axle should be very nearly straight.

Re: CV Drivshaft Vibe

Thanks for the info. I tried using the Search for over an hour. Why is it that I can find what I was looking for only AFTER I have asked the question? Thanks again!
