Thanks

Thanks to everyone on the board. I have been looking all over for Jeep info and y'all have given me more hard to find stuff than anywhere. I just bought my first Jeep last night. An '03 Freedom TJ with the 4.0, 5 speed, full doors, A/C and everything but the 44 rear (I'll upgrade later). I was hoping to keep it nice for a while, but if it doesn't stop raining (started while I was signing papers) then I'll just have to put the top down in the rain. Congratulations!
This is only the begining of your addiction. Hide the checkbook now before it's too late.

Now that's the right attitude.

You'll definitely get waved at then!

Re: Thanks

HA That's funny. When I got my first Jeep it rained the day I tried it out, and every time I drove it for like 6 months. I took it as good luck. The weather can't stay on your schedule for ever. Just don't come to Jersey on the weekends. I like having nice days on the weekend.

Re: Thanks

Welcome to our nightmare. DON'T pick up any off road mags, you will imediately feel inadequate. Take the Jeep out and wheel it like it is, and upgrade a piece at a time as your off road driving skills surpass the Jeep's ability (you will be surprised what an aired down, stock TJ will go through). Have fun, and welcome aboard!

Re: Thanks

Welcome! I bought my Jeep in February. No soft top. Got really good at pulling and installing the hard top though. Yeah going topless is the only way.
