looking for a short (in inches) transfer

hi there,

i would like to know what DIVORCED transfer is rather short and small (shorter than 11" or 28cm (flange to flange)) ... i am messing around with the idea of replacing the short driveshaft of a samurai (the one that goes between the gear box and the transfer) by a short transfer.

of course, the transfer also needs to have a centered rear output and should be as small as possible ... strenght is not so much of an issue, as i stick with my 1,3L engine ;o)

ohhh ... a 2nd samurai transfer cant be used, as they have a 1.4:1 reduction in high (just in case anybody wanted to suggest that)

thx and cheers

An NP200 is about 13",,,,,,, but still to long unless you do some driveshaft work or move the motor forward.

Wasn't the Ford version of the 203 divorced? Could you use the divorce mount front gear reduction and make a plate for the back? (I'm not suggesting using the whole 203, just the reduction unit on the front.)
