Re: O/T Alaskan users???

My MIL lived in Ketchikan until recently on her boat the Starship Solidar. They've got it moored in Seward now and living in Soldotna near Mackey Lake.

Myself, I'm up in Wasilla, in fact getting ready to take the -5 out to King River in a few minutes.

I believe ODgreen is from Valdez, and there is another board member over in Palmer/Sutton. There are a couple other Alaskans as well, but not sure of their exact locations.

What sort of wheelin you got down where you are at?

Re: O/T Alaskan users???

Lots of mud... some scenic logging roads. There were a couple atv trails that were lots of fun in the 5, but they have since been gated off to all vehicles...

Sad truth is, as much as I love it here, the jeep can't get used enough for my satisfaction. I do attend trade school in anchorage though, maybe next time I will drive the jeep instead of the pickup. I lived in Fairbanks for a couple years and I miss the fun that was had out on the Cushman flats, and wheeling the domes (Ester, Murphy, all of them...)

Glad to see some others from Ak on the board! Cool!

77 CJ5 still tinkering to put in hot 304 and Jeep T-18

I'm from Anchorage, practically born and raised, but I've relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee. I have a good friend who lives in Ketchikan, named Jake Phelps. If you see him, tell him Justin says hi. He even had a -7 up there at one point, if I remember.

I'm from Juneau. I live in Boise, Idaho now, but some of my family and my wife's family is still in Juneau. We're heading up there in August for a visit.
I REALLY miss Alaska.
