Stupid Wife Alert

my wife was driving home from visiting her brother (~5 hour trip). She brought back some frozen goods which where kept cold with bag of ice. she put the package on the passenger seat. well... the ice metled and dripped through the bag and soked the passenger seat all the way through.

I took the whole seat out of the jeep and into the house. I have large fans blowing at the bottom and top of the seat. Should I be concerned about mold growth?

Thanks for listening.

Re: Stupid Wife Alert

1. I'd be careful what you post....ya never know when it'll come back and haunt you.
2. Many TJ owners here have left the top off in a rain storm and never had a problem with mold.
3. Its meant to get wet, Jeep knew there'd be times when they'd get soaked so they are designed for that.
4. So no I wouldn't worry.

Re: Stupid Wife Alert

Agreed Nick.
The wife would have no problem whooping me for that one. LOL
Other than that........why worry
Most of us would like to think thats the worst thing that would ever happen to their jeep.
Mine hasen't had a top on it since feb. And since I'm in Ohio..........I'm guessing it just might have seen a "LITTLE" rain.
And BTW......I do use mine for a daily driver too. (5 days to work....and drive/play on the weekends) 52 a year.

Re: Stupid Wife Alert

Stoopid wife alert??!!

How about a guy that goes through the trouble of pulling a seat, and then forcing air across it trying to dry it out?

When all he needs to do is leave the window down and momma nature will dry it for him.

What could be more stoopid??!!

How about posting it on the 'net so everybody knows what a jacka$$ he his, "outing" his wife..... UGH....

I hope you enjoy sleeping on the couch!!!

Re: Stupid Wife Alert

WOW, You know how big a jerk you just came off as? The sun pales in comparison. My goodness, she made
a mistake, BIG deal. So the seat got wet, it`ll dry out. You sound like an asphalt 4 wheeler worried he`s going
to scratch his paint. Sound`s like you need to buy your wife some flower`s and apologize for making a fus
over NOTHING. With that kind of attitude it`s a safe bet she IS your BETTER half! I seriously doubt she deserves
the DISRESPECT you`ve shown her with this RIDICULOUS rant. Get a lawyer friend, I see divorce in
you future.

Re: Stupid Wife Alert

What happens when ya hit a mud hole and the top is off?
or a Friend spills a soda, or heaven forbid a three year old pukes!!!!!! do we take it and have it detailed? nope ya clean best you can, deodorize it and move on. Cause your Friends and kids and I hope your wife are much more important than any inanimate object(even a jeep!).

Re: Stupid Wife Alert

Hey there everyone,
Well, I think it is safe to say that through this post, newjeepowner has learned that, much like his wife, he makes mistakes as well. Stupid wife...yeah, I'd get a beat down from my girlfriend if I had said that, but, oh well, its over and done with. Pointing out mistakes or errors in judgement...sure, allows one to learn from their mistakes but jeez! haha. Though, perhaps now u know what your wife would feel like had her loving husband called her this to her face, Im sure he realizes his error, buy the wife some flowers and make her a nice dinner and next time, lets all be a tad more mature about this. Yeah?
later all,
-Nick
And always remember, PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES...trust me, that is one topic I know very well!!!
