Jeep wave ... is it wrong?

I was just out driving back to the office and came across a great CJ7, had to wave. Problem is I was in a 97 Ponitic Sunfire. To my suprise the guy waved back, but looked at me like he was trying to figure out who I was like I knew him.

My question is : Is it worng to wave to a fellow Jeeper in a rig that is in need of a compliment. I wouldn't wave to a "plain jane" if not in a Jeep.

Re: Jeep wave ... is it wrong?

No, I don`t think so. I wave and compliment anyone with a nice vehicle, car, truck, Jeep, or otherwise. I try
to be as curtious on the road as I can. I`m surprised the guy waved back. When I`m in my Jeep and wave at
other Jeep`s, I`d say 1 out of 10 wave back at me, and that`s no exageration. It`s probably less than that.
And It`s usually just the older rig`s.

Re: Jeep wave ... is it wrong?

I have a Jeep and a motorcycle. I have to wave to everyone and if I am on my bike the jeepers look at me funny. They usually just assume I was waving to a bike behind them.

It's nice to wave at people. Makes them feel like they exist.

Re: Jeep wave ... is it wrong?

NO! Don`t wave at me if your are not in an open top jeep. just kidding Most of the people who don`t wave back are riding in new TJ`s,young(daddy just bought them a jeep) kinda kids. The rest that don`t wave are in their only vehichle (Jeep) ,but they don`t appreciate it. They would rather be driving a Tahoe, etc.

Hey, my other rigs a Yukon! I`d still rather drive my Jeep, unless I`m going 1000 miles

Re: Jeep wave ... is it wrong?

Around here we have a company that builds Jeeps specifically to sell, mainly CJs. They won't work on any Jeep they're not selling, but they sell awesome Jeeps. But, 8 out of 10 nicely built Jeeps you see around here are bought from this company, at somewhere between $10 to 20k each (seems ridiculously high to me for a rebuilt CJ). Maybe 1 out of 20 of these owners will wave to another Jeep. I think it's definately those who have built their Jeeps themselves who actually appreciate the Jeep wave anymore. Re: Jeep wave ... is it wrong?

I know what you mean about wanting to drive your jeep. i wanted to take mine to my moms last night ,about 20 miles the wife said it was to hot . we ended up taking her Sub. Before we left my moms to come home there was a bunch of rain off in the South and it got relly cool. Thats what I get for letting her wear the pants every now and then
