TJ Neuteral Saftey Switch for 5speed

Hello Everyone,

My neutral saftey switch is flakey to the point that the dealer won't fix it under warrenty because it works fine at the dealer( of course) and I have ordered a service manual but its not here yet. Anybody have any ideas for defeating the switch? If I shift through the gears or rock the jeep it will usually start but its getting worse and my wife will really give me the business if we get stranded. She's kind of cool like that. Thanks

Just disconnect it and leave it that way. As soon as I got my 2000TJ, I pulled the fuse and it's been that way for three years now. 97-99, I believe, have a safety switch, not a fuse, that is located above the driver's feet somewhere, it should be in the owner's manual.
