motorcraft 2100 ?? where?
Where's the best place to get a Motorcraft 2100 carb. for my 258? What vehicles came w/ them that i might be able to find in the junkyard? Any of yall have one for sale? Or any recommendations for other carbs?? oh.. Anybody want to buy a HUGE 4 barrel Carter that the retard that owned my jeep before me put on it? Wow... that was a lot of questions....

I have had good luck on ebay myself. But...any Ford pickup or Van made in the 1970s.

I got one already rebuilt for a 68 Bronco with a 289, Tomco #2-284. I got it from NAPA, but Advance should have cheaper.
You can try the Pull A Parts around Atlanta, they usually have some Ford and Jeep vehicles there with them. Just make sure you get a 1.08 version. BMB |

Mine came off an 1982 E150 ford van, 302. Broncos etc should have it also. [img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

There are a couple of salvage yards on Buford Hwy in Norcross that should have them, its where I found mine and I recall seeing a lot of them there. Just find an aisle that has lots of Fords (E-100, Crown Vics, P-ups) You will also find a few E-core coils and nifty brackets if you are doing the TR ignition.

thanks guys... i found one yesterday off a 80something van for $40. i think it will work great! anybody know if i can just leave the electrical stuff on it unhooked or what to do w/ it? i think it's polution control crap.

Got your PM. The only thing I can think of right off hand is it may be a 2150 with the altitude compensator. I'm not that familiar with the later models 2100 series. You might try going to the parts store and browsing through a manual for the vehicle it came off of to see what it is.

Tryin to remember, mine had an electric anti diesel selonoid and electric choke, but I think that was pretty muc it. I left the anti diesel off and haven't had to use the electric choke yet. I'll look when I get home and see if there was anything else I left off. [img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
