CJ Seat Belt Sleeve

Is there a vendor or used parts house that sells the plastic sleeves for the front seat belts on a CJ? I don't want to buy a new set. My belts work fine but both plastic sleeves have recently broken and have fallen and I'm already tired of not being able to do the "one-handed buckle". I would rather replace them with something correct rather than getting out the duct tape. However, duct tape IS my friend!

Re: CJ Seat Belt Sleeve

Try any local junkyard. Lots of vehicles use sleeves. On trucks they're pretty long, and probably good as new. You should be able to find a pair that you can trim to length.

Re: CJ Seat Belt Sleeve

YJ Wranglers use sleeves. Also, most vans have sleeves. There is usually some small stitching near the bottom that goes through the belt and the sleeve, but it is easy to cut through. Then just use some fishing line to thread the belt through the sleeve. I have switched sleeves before myself.

Later,
Tom
