Older soft top

For those with a 72-75 CJ5, does the attached softtop require any hardware other than the track on the windshield and snaps on the side? Is this the style that angles back from the factory roll bar over the rear of the tub? If so, does it require some sort of bow?

Thanks

Re: Older soft top

I think you will need the rails that the door latch attaches too when you close the door . Does that make sense ? It is two pieces and makes a right angle where the door hits top and bottom . I have a 73 top with doors and all the hardware that is in fair condtion if you are interested . 50.00 plus shipping . Its black has decent glass and has all the hardware.

Re: Older soft top

Man, am I ever interested!

I would like to see any pics you might have of it and an idea of shipping to 39564. I can have it sent to my business if that simplifies things. Is it the same style as the one in the original attachment? My wife is standing behind me saying "Go for it!"

Let me know and I can get you a check, MO, or PayPal if you're an E-Bay'er.

Thanks

Re: Older soft top

I will lay it out and take pictures of it tommorow for you shipping should be about 30.00 due to the size of the bows . This is a "tigertop" and has a few spots that are unraveled and I think the rear widow has one crack . The top uses the old style snaps on the front of the door to attach to the tub . The door pivots from a hole in the lip of the tub and from the horizontal bar that goes from the windshield frame to the rear vertical bar that the door handle closes on . Does that make sense ?
