Re: test my jeep 77

I just noticed something......you say its a '77 but the windshield frame is definately from something older. Whats up with that frame? I noticed the wipers are on top and it appears to be two pieces of glass unless I'm mistaken. Is that a look you were going for or did it come with that?

Re: test my jeep 77

I also noticed that is has the newer style fenders...but the old style roll bar. This is definately a mix and match kinda thing. Someone wanted to make this Jeep look older than it was.

Can anyone back me up with dates on when that roll bar was available and what that windshield could be out of?

Re: test my jeep 77

The windshield looks M38A1 to me, but not sure. Couldn't tell you for sure the last SWB that still had that style rollbar, but I thought it looked homemade. Nice Jeep though.

Re: test my jeep 77

Looks like the frame is narrow like an early model?

I may not be looking close enough but I don't see the wiper motor on the outside of the windshield.

Re: test my jeep 77

Nice Jeep, I wish mine was that straight. I agree, the windshield looks like M38. Also from what I can see the roll bar is the same one that came from the factory before Kaiser bought Jeep in 65 or around there. Another thing if the rear springs are pretty close to the same width as the front you might have a 72 to 75 frame.

Enjoy
