Aux. Positive Post(Tap?)

I've just added 2 sets of aux. lights. Combine that with a couple of amps and the alarm system I have a lot of wires coming off of the starter relay. I don't want to put any directly off of the battery terminal. So does anybody know of a manufacturer that makes an insulated lug(stud) that is meant for remote mounting? I could run a short battery cable with 2 eyelet lugs from the starter relay to the remote stud, then put all the other crap on top. Any ideas?

Re: Aux. Positive Post(Tap?)

You'll spend more time looking for a ready-made item than it would take to make it. A piece of plastic (nylon or polypropylene would be good choices) a 5/16" stainless steel bolt with two nuts and flat washers, and a couple of smaller bolts to fasten it to the fender. If you don't have access to an appropriate chunk of plastic, an oak flooring scrap will work fine and look just as good after you paint it.

Junkyard. Lots of GM cars have them now. Look at 90 up W body cars.(lumina, cutlass supreme, regal, grand prix) They all have them. Also caprice's in the 90's. I bet if you buy anything else there they will give it to you.

Re: Aux. Positive Post(Tap?)

I second what Jim Lou says

I found some UHMW and made a block drilled and countersunk for a 5/16-18 iron bolt (this makes sure the bolt wont contact the body), then put it where you want.
