Help, rear driveline CV joint

My rear drive line has too much angle. It's working ok now but I know it's just a matter of time before it breaks.
What to do? Install CV joint? Is this what most of you are doing? I have a Scout Dana 300, rear SOA with a 2 inch block installed now. Rear drive line is 36 1/2 inch long with 12 1/2 inches of drop.
Where are you getting the CV joint? Part number? or just going to the drive line shop and have it made to spec?

Re: Help, rear driveline CV joint

Your better off having one built by a reputable driveline shop like Tom Woods, Jesse at Hi-angle driveline, etc.
Look in your local phone book, any decent local shop should be able to help you.

Re: Help, rear driveline CV joint

I've found that if you can find a rear shaft out of a '78-'79 Bronco all you will need to do is get it shortened. You should be able to locate a decent one of these at the junk yard cheap and then only spend around $30-$40 to shorten it.

Ujoint size

Do the Broncos use a 1330 ujoint, while the Jeep uses a 1310?

EDIT - found my own answer That would be a NO, that particular year of Bronce used a 1310. I'll add that to my list of swaps. Sweet!
