BDS 3.5\" suspension lift kit...and do you like it?

i want to put a 3.5"-4" lift on my yj. i have heard good things about the bds 3.5" lift. i was wondering if anyone had this kit and how it was installed(self-installed or installed by someone else). if you did the installation how hard is it to put together and how much time? also how much does this particular kit cost? thanks for the help!

Re: BDS 3.5\" suspension lift kit...and do you like it?

While I didn't install my 3.5 BDS kit (Although I've taken a bunch of it apart and put it back together again), it doesn't look overly complicated. The ride is pretty good, not too hard, not too bouncy.

Get yourself some shackles. The stock ones don't clear with the military wrap springs. I'm ordering the MORE Boomerang greasable shackles that give you a 5/8 lift. They're in the catalog, listed *for* BDS springs.

One thing I will recommend - Throw the TC drop kit in the trash, and go CV Driveshaft from the start. That's part of my next batch of upgrades: 4.10 '95 D-30 up front, 4.10 LS Exploder 8.8 in the back, stuff the transfer case back up, install SYE and CV Driveshaft from Tom Woods. Will probably get a 2-low kit as well, while I have the transfer case open.

Then I'll gut my existing 3.07 D-30 for spare shafts, and sell/trash the rest. The 3.07 D-35 will be for sale afterwards.
