Re: Cant get into 4 high help!

Have you ran in 4 high since the body lift? Maybe check for clearances. Often times body lifts cause tranny and t-case shifting problems. Good Luck!

Re: Cant get into 4 high help!

hey guys I just realized that after I did the body lift I got a pop in my steering while turning. I also just figured out that I cant get into 2 high not into 4 high I think I might have been in 4 high the entire time. now I am wondering if I have been in 4 high the entire time since the body lift, if so please tell me what to do.

Re: Cant get into 4 high help!

I agree with penny. Once you get all the binding and shifting problems from the body lift fixed, check the vacuum hoses to the 4x4. Depending on how long you've been driving it and rather the hubs were locked in, you may have damaged something, but you most likely would have heard this happening I think. Good Luck

Re: Cant get into 4 high help!

Vacuum hoses on an 84 CJ7 shouldn't have anything to do with the 4wd actuation. Check to make sure that your t-case shifter isn't hitting against the transmission tunnel; you will probably have to get creative with a Sawsall.

Re: Cant get into 4 high help!

Mine wont shift into 4hi since I swapped out the T5 for the T176 tranny...it has moved it in the transmission tunnel back just enough to where it hits the metal before engaging in 4hi...my problem with the idea that yours is doing the same thing is that if you have the dana 300 xfer case, 4hi is on the bottom with 2hi above it, then neutral, then 2hi at the very front....so if you have been running in 4hi, and you can get it in 4lo....that means you have to pass right through 2hi. Unless you have some other xfer case in there, in which case I have no idea. Anyhow, the setup on the 300 is like this:

---------
4lo |
2hi |
N |
4hi |
---------

Good luck!
