Got my L.E.D.\'s mounted up!

Got my LED's from Jay at Mesa 4x4 on friday, finally got them mounted up. I highly recommend Jay's kit, it's very complete and gives step by step directions along with templetes. Now all I need is my lift and rock rails!

Looks really good. I've been looking at the kit as well. How did you connect the wires? Did you splice them or did you solder, etc.? Also, what are you doing about the license plate light, and reverse light? Thanks for the info.

Re: Got my L.E.D.\'s mounted up!

Thanks all! I plan on getting a set of cheapy backup lights when my new bumpers come in. I spliced the light side of the factory harness into the pigtails using some heat shrink waterproof connectors I picked up at Autozone, you crimp heat up and they seal with some kind of hardening gizz...
I plan on buying some of these from Jay at Mesa when I get the bumpers on http://www.mesa4x4.com/parts/design_...de-030302.html

Do the back side marker LEDs "blink" when you turn signal is on?

Re: Got my L.E.D.\'s mounted up!

YJOwner22: I took my stock taillight assembly off and the diameter of the new LED will fit perfectly after you cut a bit of the body away. And the wires are very long so you should have alot to work w/. Now I haven't done it, but he said the instructions are very detailed. I think I'm going to try it out soon.

Re: Got my L.E.D.\'s mounted up!

heres a link to one of the write up's, the hardest part is taking the saw to your sheetmetal LED INSTALL The rear side markers only light up, theyr'e only designed to just light up, not blink. The LED tailights are so bright when they blink I can see the reflection off my neighbors house across my street
