What gastank skid are you running?

Not really a pole, but I was just wondering what kind of gas tank skid everyone is running. I obviously have a YJ so that would help if the product is available for a YJ also. And I was also thinking about maybe doing a groupbuy thru www.4x4groupbuy.com. They had Kilby gas skids for TJ, YJ, and CJ. Thanks for the info, and let me know if interested in the groupbuy deal.

Re: What gastank skid are you running?

They are American Racing 767s. They are a good ol steel wheel. Mine are 15x8 so when I move up in tire size I'll be ready. Also, I sent the guys at 4x4 Groupbuy an email about prices, and even if 2 people buy it could lower the price some. I'll let you know.

Re: What gastank skid are you running?

15x8 would be fine, it really has nothing to do w/ the engine, wheels that is. If you have the 4 banger you should have 4.10 gears which would be good for running 31's there abouts.

Re: What gastank skid are you running?

Another quick note, obviously the tire has to be wider than 8" for it to run on the 8" wide wheel. You might want to look into a wheel and package deal. Call up National Tire and wheel, ntwonline.com, and they will pretty much sell you any combo, mounted and balanced w/ everything for a descent price. And if you want All Terrains go w/ BFGoodrich. Good luck.

I have a TJ, but I run the Tomken Skid. It was cheaper than the others and stout. The only problem is that like anything else made of steel, it rusts. Especially here in the salt belt!

Re: What gastank skid are you running?

this is a little off topic, but when I bought my jeep, the piece that goes around the window and meets at the lower hard part of the door was broken. is there any way i can have this welded or anything? these are full hard doors
