carb adapter ? Ishould know

Just what adapter is needed for the mc 2100 to replace my freshly rebuilt and working as good as it can carter bbd on my 79 258? and what about mileage, I average about13mpg now. don't want to lose much,if any. low budget, would love injection but have to shell out $865 a month on daycare for my 3 little 4 wheelers! The cj only takes second to them and surviving. thanks, gas.
p.s. does a k551 weber conversion work better? I'm a smog tech too, so that is not an issue with me.

Re: carb adapter ? Ishould know

The adaptor you need is a Td performance Products universal 2 barrel carb adaptor. Part number #2086. It's the one thats listed for adapting a large holley 2 barrel to a rochester 4-bolt 2 barrel base. MR Gasket also makes one but I can't remember the part number off hand. I never really checked to see what my gas milage is since the swap, all I know is it went down.

Re: carb adapter ? Ishould know

I saw no loss of fuel economy changing to a MC2100 from the carter bbd. It idles better and doesn't stink rich like the exhaust did from my carter. I got 17 mpg highway with the MC2100, same as I measured with the carter.

Re: carb adapter ? Ishould know

The Mr. Gasket adapter part number is #1937.

P.S. Had the Weber K551 and sold it. Now I run an MC2100, does that answer your question?
