Custom dual exhaust questions?

I've finally gotten around to installing the driveshafts in my CJ-7 project and, "imagine that!" the dang front shaft does not clear the exhaust crossover pipe. I had mocked it in months ago but I guess I did not do an exact enough mock up. So now I need to have a custom dual exhaust fabbed up. My questions are how difficult will this be and how much should it cost? The setup is an AMC 304V8, TH400 transmission mated to a Dana 300 transfer case. I don't really need or even want headers, just pipes coming from the stock exhaust manifolds to basic mufflers and out the rear of the Jeep (prefer not to have them exhausting out the sides). It seems the toughest part would be to make the pipes mating up to the manifolds. Can a basic muffler shop do this for me? Any ideas, suggestions, advice? Thanks all.

Re: Custom dual exhaust questions?

I would go to a mom and pop type muffler shop, that does custom work. I went to a guy about 17 miles from where I live and let him do it, he does custom everything. I think a custom shop will have a much easier time w/ it than say a Car X or Midas. Good luck.

Re: Custom dual exhaust questions?

I bought the duel kit from JC Whitney. For a hundred bucks it's a good buy.

Re: Custom dual exhaust questions?

Any decent exhaust shop can do custom work. Going price in my area for the work would be $300-400 depending
on the mufflers you want. That would be without cats too.
