Stuck in my front yard...how embarrasing

This requires a bit of explaining. I got stuck in my front yard (of an upscale suburban neighboorhood) because I was trying to manuever the trailer around a big tree that's not in view to the right. I ended up half in the woods and my tires were tearing up the wet grass in my front yard. You should have seen the look on the neighbors' faces when I winched the whole mess out into the cul-de-sac.

That's a great story. My friend took his Jeep into his buddies backyard once, after it had rained and started working on a bog in his backyard. I beleive he ended up maybe getting stuck back there actually, and the neighborhood is a bit upperclass.

Re: Stuck in my front yard...how embarrassing

1. It was a lot less embarrassing than asking your neighbor to winch you out!
2. If you've gotta get stuck... home's the place to do it.

In a Leve type posting....

1) That's hilarious
2) Takes a "set" bigger than I got to admit it AND show pics.

Re: Stuck in my front yard...how embarrasing

Now don't get me wrong, but I could have unhooked the trailer and hammered the gas, but this is delicate grass with sand for soil. Also, it's a new winch and I needed an excuse to try it out. Works great!

I would have left the mess and gone upstairs to sleep. Just because you can. When do you ever get stuck close to home?
