can i get a 4 link explination?

how does 4 link suspension work? can i get some pics or design ideas? how does it stop latteral side to side movement? i get the 4 LINK part but how does it all work? from basic do advanced please it all helps.

Petersen's Four Wheel Drive and Offroad mag has had a few articles on building your own 4 link. It has bee a running article has been in the last 2 months or so.
