Carburetor Swap

I have read all that I can on this site and I have decided for the time being to go with a carb. swap instead of FI.Does anyone have any advice on which is better the MC2100 or the Weber for swapping. I would like the one that is easiest to install and keep running. Also can you buy the MC2100 new? Anyone have a good source for either one of these carbs?

I will sell you a 32/36 Weber and a borla header for your 258 motor. E-mail me if interested.

Re: Carburetor Swap

you can get a brand new mc2100 from autozone for about $160 and its a bit easier to deal with than the weber from my understanding.

Re: Carburetor Swap

I bought a rebuilt MC 2100 for a late 60's Bronco v-8 at Checkers for $101. There was no PCV valve port though. you would have to drill and tap the carb adapter for that.

Re: Carburetor Swap

Tell them a CJ7 with 304. Pick any year that had them. Say, 1980 for instance. The MC2100 was oem on those motors.
