1996 MPI identification problems!

Can anyone with a 1996 or later MPI intake help me identify these parts located on the throttle body.

1. A small square black electrical part on the outside edge.

2. The electrical connection on the opposite side connects to the slit cut in the side of the throttle body.

3. A sensor (looks like a temperature sensor) located to the left side of the throttle body against the very back.

I know where the TPS sensor is and I am pretty sure that #2 could be a MAP sensor. But have no idea about #1. #3 looks like an air temp sensor. Just not sure.

Thanks,
Fran

Re: 1996 MPI identification problems!

TPS - Throttle position sensor
MAP sensor (Some MAP sensors were mounted on the intake manifold)

All of the below items do the same thing, just different names in different books, you will have one of them.

ISM - Idle stepper motor
ISA - Idel speed actuator motor
ISS - Idle speed sensor
