Need help quick... YJ suspention.

I just noticed a huge sag in my Jeep on the passanger side..

Looked a little closer, and the main leaf on the passangers side rear end.. is busted..

The eye that attaches to the frame up front is broken and has sliped off the bolt/bushing..

If someone would be so kind as to head outside and take a look at their STOCK YJ suspention... tell me if the edges of the individual leafs are square or rounded, and how many leafs they have.. that would be wicked slick..

:P

I don't know what the previous owner did.. I have mostly square edged leafs, with the acception of what I suppose is an rounded add a leaf..

I HOPE.. that these are stock springs.. cause then I can just get a new main rear spring and swap it in.

Thanks guys..

Inferno..

Re: Need help quick... YJ suspention.

should be 5 front 6 rear i thought
and yes there all square ..

this isa common problem.. with leafs..check the other side for stress.. this happens when the bushing are worn and not changed.. and there becomes slop in that area.. it will casue it to rip it in off..

Re: Need help quick... YJ suspention.

Thanks guys.. I've got my contacts hunting for a new main leaf..

thought I'd just swap the leaf and keep the rest of the pack... that way it should be cheaper.. "But it's only one leaf not the whole thing." and less expensive to ship if necessary..

The bushing.. surprisingly.. looks good..

Here's the pics I took.
