Question on traction bar bracket

I tacked my traction bar bracket onto my axle housing today. What does everyone think? Does it look like it will do the job ok? I could maybe move it a little closer to the center section, but then would not be able to weld it on each side of the bracket.

Re: Question on traction bar bracket

Also, here's a picture of my crossmember. I just added the back portion of it today, and will be attaching the traction bar to it. Not quite sure how I'm going to do that, but I'll be using the same size bushing that's on the axle end for the lower portion of the front shackle. Any good suggestions?

Re: Question on traction bar bracket

use an old trac bar bushing, or the end of a leaf spring welded to the crossmemeber.
