cj speedometer in yj

I would like to do this but it probally wont work.

I found that a yj is 0 ohms empty and 88 full
the cj is 9 full and 73 empty.

are those specs right? Can this be done or will i need a new fuel gauge all together? thanks Mike

Re: cj speedometer in yj

I just live with the fact that the gas guage reads backwards. It isn't to hard to remember that when the gauge says full the tank is actualy empty.

I have a CJ sending unit in the garage, but have not gotten around to changing the sending unit. To many other things to do.

Re: cj speedometer in yj

well the cj is a 73 to 10 ohm and the yj is a 0 to 90 ohm. From reading old post of leve's that 17 ohms makes a difference. even if it was reading backwards it couldnt be accurate.
