Braking Problems

I have an 86 CJ7 that is locking up the rear left tire when appling the brakes during normal driving. I have looked around and cannot find out what may be the problem so I have turned to the experts of this forum.

Re: Braking Problems

Look at the simple things first. #1 gear oil on shoes. #2 a pinched, crushed or otherwise distorted brake pipe 0n the opposite wheel.#3 brake adjusters installed on the wrong sides of jeep?#4 self adjusters not!#check manual adjustment slight drag should be felt and equal as possable. take your time and look really good. brakes are really pretty simple. #6 is your pedal soft or hard? if it is soft there may be air in the system, but that usually only happens if someone has been in the system or it has absorbed exsesive h20 #7does the opposite wheel cylender leak? take your time,DON'T FLAT RATE BRAKES!!!!!!!!! gas.
