Jeep paint part II

Any of you that read my posts when I painted mine might remember that Onetonjeeper (Todd) had gotten enough of one color paint so that I could paint mine too. He even got red because thats what color I wanted to stay with and while he wasn't planning on going with it, he is planning on selling this one.(to help fund the next one that he has started)
Well the time had come to get started on the facelift. The weather finally decieded to agree with outdoor painting conditions for saturday.
The paint finally started to spray about 5:00.
Todd wanted to learn how to shoot paint. So a quick rundown on what to do, and I shot a small section of the rear of the tub so he could see......he took control of the wheel.
And the games began.

A fine overcast day.

He's doing a fine job.

She's all red and shiney.

A two jeep garage is a good garage. We put it inside to dry. Monday is time to start the black for contrast on all the tubing. It will look sharp when done.
And for anyone who was going to ask.........
his is on 38's and 2 1/2" springs SOA. It's almost 4" taller than mine.

Nice job Todd.

Re: Jeep paint part II

Both of them look great. DirtDog, does your Jeep feel inferior with a bigger Jeep next to it? You've got a tall garage too. I could barely fit my CJ with only 4 inches of lift in the garage before I would have hit my roll cage on the garage door. Well done.

Re: Jeep paint part II

Hahahaha. I (well actually Todd) rebuilt the front of my garage by raising everything and installing a new taller 18' wide door just so "lifted jeeps" would fit in.

Re: Jeep paint part II

It is really bad when you have been wheelin with a guy here and did not even know he was on this board. Hi Oneton by the way guys and gals it does as well as it looks. I saw him hit a 20 foot wide pit of mud about 2-1/2 to 3 foot deep and haspin suction cup mud and get through.
I also belive it was the only jeep that did not have a flooded starter problem besides the newer TJ.....LOL
