e-brake lines on a Scout axle swap?

I took advantage of a day off today and swapped in a scout d-44 in the back of my CJ. It looks really good and with the 4.56 gears it scoots down the road. I will get pics at daylight.

My question is, how do I extend my e-brake lines? There must be a way to just replace the last link of line into the brake housing. Any sugestions?

is it necessary? Mine fit fine without changing anything.

Mine are about 2" too short. I think it is because I went from a '80 narrow track to the wider scout axle. What year jeep did you do the swap on?

I put a Scout rear in my '81 Scrambler (it was narrow track), the stock e-brake cables worked fine. You may have to loosen that clamp over the rear diff. and slide the cable a little, but it worked for me.

I did this same swap and if you get lines from a widetrack CJ, the lines work perfectly. Just get lines from an 83-86 CJ7. They'll work out great for that swap. The narrow track e brake cables won't cut it after some flexing of the suspension.

Yes, your right, that would make a difference. My CJ is an 84, so it would be the wide track version of the AMC20 rearend.
