2005 Jeep Scrambler

I know this was news in February on the forum. But, is the 2005 Jeep Scrambler concept at all the car shows?

Would be nice if Jeep tagged this the TJ-8. Says it will have either a hard of soft top. Nice to put these tops on the regular TJs

Re: 2005 Jeep Scrambler

From my understanding, they're going into production. I really don't care for them much. I really like CJ-8's, but the TJ-8 looks kinda ugly IMHO. Maybe it just needs to be lifted and have that stupid hard top removed(Jeeps weren't meant to have hard tops)

Re: 2005 Jeep Scrambler

I remember thinking that it looked ridiculous - it doesn't look half as beefy as the 8's did... It needs some meat - at least a 3", 31's or 33's, etc. Then we're talkin....

Re: 2005 Jeep Scrambler

I think I read in one of the 4x4 mags that they are going into limited production (20,000 or something like that) in 2005

Re: 2005 Jeep Scrambler

Face it, stock TJs look like pussycats too. And we won't even mention YJs. Jeeps hit their pinnacle with the CJ series...everything else is just fluff!

Seriously though, it's the extra wheelbase that makes it look lower, but I bet it has the same clearance as the standard TJ. Like any rig they will look better lifted. (Except the new chevy trucks they look butt ugly lifted--course a chevy truck is really a sports car with a pickup bed, not really a truck at all)

Re: 2005 Jeep Scrambler

I dunno about calling them TJ-8's looks more like a TJ-6 to me! scramblers had a lot of rear overhang. these dont. But I agree, about 6" and 35"s and that baby would look alot better! but that is just my humble opinion Wade

Re: 2005 Jeep Scrambler

Yeah, I guess it is more like a CJ-6. I guess that's why I thought it looked odd, because I didn't realize it had no rear overhang like a CJ-8. I don't mind the CJ-6's, but am also not a huge fan of their looks other than it's cool it's a rare Jeep.
