Good vehicle to pull an MC2100?

Hey folks,

I'm planning on swapping an MC2100 for my Carter BBD, and I'd love to pull an old one and rebuild it for that personal touch. Anybody know the best vehicles to look for to get the right one? I'm told that I should get one from an AMC 304, but I'm not sure which year and models of AMCs had the right one. I'm looking for the 1.08" venturi diameter, right? Thanks all!

Make sure it has the pcv fitting as you will need that. Apparently some of the older Fords lacked this. The 1.08 is cast into the drivers side of the float bowl, in a small circle about the size of a dime. It's partly obscured by the accellerator pump linkage. Maybe bring a can of spray can carb cleaner to the boneyard.

Thanks, guys, I appreciate it. I'm pretty sure I can get the right carb with all the info you guys gave.

Again, many thanks!
