my 258 stumbles at 1500-2500 RPM...why?

I replaced my cap, rotor, plugs, wires a few months ago, and just bought a timing light to set my timing...it is on the fourth notch from the top, probably 9-11 degrees...
She idles with a very slight miss, and accelerates fine, but in 2nd or 3rd gear, when at a constant 1500-2500 rpm, the engine stumbles and misses...what are some possible things that could be wrong?
Is 9-11 BTDC the correct timing(4th notch from top of the timing markers..)?

Thanks for reading,

Tim
