O/T - Storm of new guys?

Is it me, or has there been a LOT of new guys joining the board? It seems like it's mainly been happening in the past 2-3 weeks. Am I seeing something that isn't there, or are there more joining?

1. New Guys = Good!
2. New Guys = New ideas,
3. New Guys = New ways of doing something,
4. New Guys = New experiences to share,
5. New Guys = New ways of looking at a problem,
6. New Guys = New solutions to old problems,
7. All in all, I think this all adds up to something great ...
8. Synergy!

Re: O/T - Storm of new guys?

New guys are great!I recommend this board, along with 1 other, all the time to
guys I meet.I even recommend it to non Jeepers to use the search function
for swap information, and in the hope that I can convert them to the Jeepin'
side (who-ho-ho-ha-ha).Now I realize that most of you guys are realy good
at helping out people,Just wanna say this to the ones that ain't tolerant of a
lack of mechanical know-how.I always try to remember the words of my Tech
school teacher "Don't be afraid to ask what you think are stupid questions.
Not only will you learn, but there might be a couple other guys glad that you
asked".So all you guys out there thinking a question is stupid,it might be,but
a good teacher and understanding person will further the Jeepin' knowlege.
So feel free to enrich my knowledge, and I'll try to enrich others too.

Re: O/T - Storm of new guys?

This new guy wanted info from reliable sources. After months of reading different BB's I decided this one not only had people that seemed to be of the same opinions, backgrounds, and lifestyles as me but also had the largest group of people respond to questions with good answers, not flames and clowns trying to be cute to people they will never meet. Other than that, it's just fun.

Re: O/T - Storm of new guys?

I was a newbie back in July and was reccomended here by the guy I bought my CJ from. I asked a few questions and quickly realized how valuable this forum would be. I've stuck around since and have learned so much in such a short time. I was a newbie who knew nothing about Jeeps. I've seen a few guys join the board that are real knowledgeable when it comes to Jeeps and that knowledge is invaluable. So if they're just learning like I was or contributing I say bring 'em on and welcome.

Re: O/T - Storm of new guys?

As part of the "Storm" Iwould just like to say thanks to all of those on the Board who take the time to answer "Stupid" questions. They sure didn't sound stupid when I didn't know the answer and the folks who answered didn't make me fill that way either. THANKS TO ALL!!!!

We were all Newbies at one time.
Just dont be affraid to take a little good natured ribbing, and ask all the questions you want,..someone will always step up and answer,..and if its the wrong answer I will make sure to correct them

Re: O/T - Storm of new guys?

LMAO! Yeah, that would work. Maybe a few could come over, bring some beer, and finish my D300 swap into my YJ. That'd be a good start.

J/K. Hopefully you all don't get the impression I have anything with all the newbies. I think it's great! I just found it odd that it seemed so many were joining lately(and neglecting to read the new user post LEVE put up!!!). Hehehehe...

Welcome newbies and future carpel tunnelers!
