need sye???

iv got a 95 wrangler with a 3 in susp lift, and the guy i just bought it from had a box of 4 1-1/4 in lift shackles. i was wondering if i need a sye or will it be fine. also im not sure if there are any ill effects when usings shackle lifts, if their crap i wont put them on, ill prolly just get some stock wrangler springs and go soa. thanks seeya. sorry i posted this twice, i didnt think it posted lastnight, but i guess it did

My opinion is to not use the shackles and see about getting the SOA done. It will ride better, flex more and be safer all around. Once you decide to do the SOA, then an SYE will be required. If you do decide to do the shackles then an SYE will also be needed. If you do the shackles and then decide to do the SOA, you might have to order another driveshaft because of the new length.
