O/T What to do, what to do?

Amazing some of the crap you find at work. Like I need to have another toy project ...........but man it looks like it could be fun.
I do hate to tear up the stihl 015 for this project. Maybe I'll wait till I find a POS saw with a bad bar.

Gonna have to built a full cage on it to make it safe. What day are they going to run your tape on, "You gotta See This?" Have fun and stay safe,

Re: O/T What to do, what to do?

ya know, i always did want to do that... except my scooter had 12" (metal) spoke wheels. i always figured i could get a back wheel (with gear) off a really small kids bike, and actually make it work... probably a good thing i never did....

Re: O/T What to do, what to do?

A kid from my high school back in the day had put a motor like that on the back of a skateboard with a large rubber tire attached to the motor. So it was like a 5 wheeled, gas powered skateboard. That thing was nuts.

Go for it DD, HeHeHe That thing would be cool. It wouldn't take long to get from the primitive sites @ the campground to the showers with that and you could carry it in the Jeep for spare transportation.

Re: O/T What to do, what to do?

Too much fun.

One point - That style scooter will not support weight of an adult for long. The bottom frame rails will bend right about where the top tube meets the footboard. Gusseting is needed.

Please send pictures of someone airborn on that

Go for it!!!
I think it would be a fun project, but it would be fairly embarassing to tell everyone that you broke you leg on a kid's scooter.
