the pinion angle isn't near as important as the caster angle. anything less that 15 degrees of pinion angle should be fine, but you HAVE to nail the spring perch, and control arm positioning. anyone who has tried to lift a TJ without longer control arms will explain what happens. hint: it's not good.

Dude, he is talkin about a rearend not the front end. Castor has nothing to do with the rear. Don't make us Memphis folks look bad.

But to answer your question, when I swapped my 8.8 in i set my pinion angle and 16*. I think that is right. I also have 4" springs and SYE. Just checked, thats about right.

Re: TJ REAR PINION ANGLE, can someone find for me?

when its not raining (and im not drunk) I can get better pics....
mine may not be the best example as its a rear high pinion axle and I have 7" lift
it looks like about 20 degreesin this pic..maybe a bit less; about 18 degrees in the other pic

Did my post not show up? I may not have a picture but I answered your question. Mine is at 15* with 4" springs.

i cant wait for my 8.8, i just wish i had a lift and some tires to match!
