has anyone personally done a V10 swap into a TJ? I've got a dead I6 and need a new motor. I figure as long as I'm doing it I might as well install a V8, then I thought about a V10. is it possible? Yes i've seen the Viper TJ install on the web,but I don't have money coming out my ass. So I'm doing the install myself and I'm talking about a magnum motor out of a truck not a viper ( they seem to be easier to find than 5.9l believe it or not).

The latest Four Wheel Drive and Sport Utility magazine has a feature on a YJ with a Dodge truck V-10 in it.

yeah but a TJ has lots of fun computers, a digital dash, and a tighter frame to deal with, that's what worries me.

I'd bet that the engine bay would be like my 383 Chevy sitting in a `62 CJ5 frame. NNOOOTTT alot of room. But I'd also bet it can climb up the side of the Hoover Dam. L8r,

that's the plan. with 400+ ft lbs of torque 4.88 gears and a 3.8 to 1 Xfer case, I can drive up the pyramid.

I did a search on www.car-part.com and there's a couple out there for cheep though most of the good ones were getting expensive and you still have to get the harness and all that garbage, it will be a hard swap but i'm sure it's doable if you have patiance and some skill at deciphiering schematics, facotry manuals for your jeep and what ever year dodge the v10 is out of will probably really help you with the swap.
