Slow -n- steady Scrambler progress - pics

Walking the fine line of keeping my wife quiet & working on the Jeeps, so I'm only spending one day out of the weekend in the garage and do little odd jobs during the weekday evenings. This past weekend's progress: installed new stainless steel rear brake hard line, installed long Chevy front brake hoses, started mounting the tub, installed driver side crusher corner, made templates for my tail-lights & side markers, dragged the in-cab cage back in from the backyard and set it in place and installed the driver side seat to check clearances (the Honda seats are definitely too high, so I'll probably put the original seats back in the CJ-7 and put the YJ seats that are in it in the Scrambler). It should be pretty close in another 2-3 weeks...play my cards right and I might even be turning the key at that point. Color scheme will be a white tub, red frame (duh) & rollcage (there'll be a separate family cage in the back), red or grey Avalanche panels (still have to order the rockers), and I'm thinking red for the hood as well. Just got the rest of my wire racks today, so I can finish up that disaster on the passenger side

Looks great!! I really like that cage you have, is that custom or aftermarket? I'm putting in a MORE cage but I like the one you have better.

What kind of Honda did those seats come from Rodney? They look like the mid-90s Prelude variety....exactly what I want. Just have to find a set local and put them in.

Re: Slow -n- steady Scrambler progress - pics

Thanks guys. I'll keep the pictures coming.
The cage is custom...modeled partially after Essentially Offroad's in-cab cage. I got it from a Jeeper in Kentucky who had it in a YJ running a half cab.
The seats are from a 90's Prelude. I'll probably put them back in when the cage is reworked to incorporate seat mounts...then I can position them properly so that my head isn't an inch away from the bar.

Hey, slow down there Speedy! I don't even have my new frame finished yet. Is that Hammerite smooth finish bright red that I see on that frame? I can't believe that you're copying me again.
I'm catching up with you though. Next week is Spring Break, so I'm off all week. I've got a NOS '72 CJ-5 grill, Kevlar sport induction hood, and a bunch of other goodies waiting to be bolted up. I'll get some pics posted of the frame as soon as I figure out how to get them out of the camera and into my computer.
