Throttle Body follow-up

For those of you who responded to my post about getting my throttle body bored through all the way down(it used to taper below the butterfly), I got it on Friday. I took it to a local machine shop and had them bore it out, thin the bar that turns the plate, and give it a good cleaning, all for $60. After I put it on I immediately noticed a difference in air flow. My first test was of course in my neighborhood, which is really hilly. It was really responsive and smooth. The power really seemed to be there around 2,000 rpm's. It did however whistle a little bit, but not bad. It was really worth the money. I felt a big difference driving around later. The acceleration was really clean and it seemed to go up hills a little better, not bogging down if I didnt downshift. I also have a performance intake, and a dynomax muffler and this mod seemed to do just as good if not better than each of those. I would definately recommend this for everyone.

Re: Throttle Body follow-up

that is a cool mod that I am seriously considering ...but what exactly do you mean by "thin the bar that turns the plate" ?
