my electrical guages are driving menuts

this is my first post. i have a 87 wrangler with a 4.2 . my fuel guage is pegged along with my oil pressure. the temp sensor moves a fraction and doesnt rise with engine temp . the alternator and clock display all are functioning normally. these problems all occur in the accesory and running modes. i have replaced the ground to engine and ground to firewall. i have removed the instrument cluster and checked for anything visible. any help in this would be greatly appreciated. i havent gotten frustrated on my jeep rehab until now.

1. Do a Search, it's always helpful,
2. Check out John Faust's Jeep® CJ Gauge & Sender Diagnostics page.
3. It about CJ's but the circuits are almost identical!
4. Read it over and come on back...
