Tubing bender ?\'s

I am in the process of trying to order a Model 3 tubing bender , and was looking at ordering from Van Sant Enterprises. (best prices) Has anyone off the board ever ordered from them?? Or heard any good/bad things about them. I have read a few write-ups on offroad.com and other places..., but thought I would ask you guys as well. Thanks for the help.

I've never ordered from them, but I have heard good things about them. Also check www.rockbuggysupply.com for the pro-tool 105 (essentially the same as the JD2)

Re: Tubing bender ?\'s

Sorry no xperience with them; I ordered from Mtech sales and recommend them. They gave me a discount on the bender and the two dies I ordered over and above the listed price. Very nice guys to work with. And don't listen to those that say the degree ring is worthless. It makes a fine little table, big enough to set your beer on while you use your angle-o-meter to try and match angles

Have also heard good things about the Pro tools 105; have no complaints with my model 3 thusfar, though.

Re: Tubing bender ?\'s

I've not heard anything bad about VanSant. I ordered mine from MTech as well. The trick is to get whoever is closest to you and get the best shipping, most places have close to same pricing or will match.

I got mine from M-Tech (Arizona, but had them drop ship to Georgia from JD2 in Florida).

I would also second the suggestion for pro-tools. I have the JD2, it's not bad, but I've heard better things about pro-tools dies.

I would also recommend thinking about some sort of home-brew hydro setup, they can be had for about $100 or so and greatly increase portability.

Re: Tubing bender ?\'s

I second the motion on MTech - very good to work with.
And the degree wheel - seems like it's just good to get you
close, then use your form to get it dialed in.

I love that JD2 bender. Once you get the hang of it you can
do some pretty awsome things with it.

Re: Tubing bender ?\'s

I ordered my jd2 M3 from Vansant, and some other items over time. I have always received things quickly (bender only took five days when all others said 4 weeks) and low $$$. The ones I used before and got used to before I bought mine didn't have the degree ring (or were taken back off) so I didn't order one with mine, just the bender and some dies.
