newbie $10.00 hood locks

I am new to this forum, and it kicks a$$.Anyway came up with an idea to lock down my yj hood. I used the old school hood pins that hot rodders like to use' but instead of drilling through the top of the hood I flipped the pins upside down to let them go through the grill. In the top of the grill there are two rubber gromets that the hood rests on while closed,I pulled them out and the now upside down hood pins slide right through a couple of master locks later presto instant locked hood.

Welcome to the forum. I like your idea! I happen to have some old hood pins lying around and will look into this. Could you drill a new hole and leave the snubbers there? They might be there for a reason to keep them.

That does sound like a pretty good idea. Some pictures would be great, and so would a name. Although your not asking a question yet, its nice to know who we're talking to and where they are from. Welcome to the board and keep the great ideas coming.

This's pretty solid, tough to get a bolt cutter in...see the posts from nenofury about 2/3 of the way down.
